What I want my Friends to know ...
BEING A TEENAGER CAN BE TOUGH...CHRIST IS WITH YOU!

The Young People of First Baptist Church in Saltillo, PA would like to share some things with their friends; some who do know Christ and some who don't know Jesus as Lord and Savior...

At the bottom of this page you can comment about what you've seen here. Please be nice, everyone can see this:)

Bballer30 writes: Dear Friend,

We used to be really close friends but I guess we’ve just drifted apart. I don’t even know if you go to church anymore. It doesn’t seem as if you do.

I used to love hanging out with you and talking to you on the phone. Now we hardly even talk in person unless you are being spiteful. It seems that you show off a lot and are getting around with the wrong crowd.

Please try to get back on track with God, and pray about your sins. Everyone gets off track every now and then and everyone makes mistakes, but God always forgives you when you ask Him to do so. Even if we don’t become as good of friends as we once were, I would love to see you attending church and getting your life back on track.

Love,

Bballer30

Gunner32 writes: Dear Betty,

I am writing you this letter because I’m very concerned about you. Lately I have noticed a change in your behavior. Before, you were so high up on the mountain with Jesus! You were attending youth group, going to conferences, and attending church. Now, I’m scared that you are stuck down in the low valley.

I am afraid that your family has got it in your head that people who go to church are all hypocrites. Well, it says in the Bible that, “There is none righteous, no not one.” Psalm 14:3.
So, that means that everyone makes some bad decisions in there life. Fortunately we have hope in Jesus Christ. In case you forgot, He died on the cross so that we can all be forgiven for our sins.

I am writing you because I really want you to be with me up in heaven. Even if you are saved, it helps so much more if you can grow in Christ. He wants you to talk to Him. He loves you and I love you too. Please consider what I’ve said.

Love,

Gunner32

CEW8490 writes: Dear Susie,

In Corinthians 5:17 the Bible says, “Therefore, if any man is in Christ, then he is a new creature; the old things pass away; and behold, all things become new.”
Right now you may think you like the way your life is without Christ in it, but when you accept Jesus into your heart, many wonderful things will come into your life.

When hard things come into your life you will always have Christ to pray to and He will listen.
Everything in your life God has already planned out for you and He knows what will happen. The things you do in your life without Christ do not only affect your life, it affects everyone in your life as well.

When you have someone, a friend, in your life like me that does know Christ; we can help you with your new life in Christ. You may sometimes feel like everyone in your life has given up on you and forgotten you, but Jesus Christ never forgets you and if you ask Him into your life and ask Him for forgiveness, you will see that He is always there.

Love,

Bballer30 writes: Dear Xxxxx,

You and I both know that God exists but if you do not pursue your walk with Him you may be judged harshly. You say that you used to go to church when you were younger but then you stopped going, why?

I don’t understand how some people who went to church and knew about God and know about what happens to non-Christians can just stop going to church and then even stop believing. You know that everyone dies eventually and then what you did while you were on earth is judged. So please get back on track and come to church. (I go to The First Baptist Church in Saltillo, PA.) So when you are judged God will tell you how proud He is of you and that you will have eternal life in heaven. The Bible tells us that, “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23.

Love,

TWRL82453 writes: Dear Betty Lou,

I know we aren’t as close as we used to be but that doesn’t mean I don’t care about you. With Christmas coming around and all the Christmas spirit, I tend to always think of you. The one thing that I would like to tell you this Christmas is that being a Christian is one of the most rewarding things that you can be.

There are so many awesome things in store for you when you except Christ into your life. Just think about always having someone there to talk to and tell all your problems to. When you except Jesus into your life you are never alone. He will always be there for you no matter what you do are how many times you mess up. He will always forgive you. I don’t know about you but I don’t know many people that will do that!

If you have any questions or just want to talk just let me know; I’m always here for you.

Your friend,

Twrl82453

Valley Girl writes: Dear Friend,

I just wanted to let you know that I have missed you. We used to be so close, and often I reflect back on our times spent together. Although we have drifted apart, the Lord speaks to me and reminds me that our friendship is important. I would like for us to get together sometime. I know you are involved in many things, and I am as well, but we do have many things in common starting with our love for the Lord. Maybe we can use this to start:

Romans 12:9-10 “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil, cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly Love.”

Whacky Chic 268 writes: Dear Cyndy,

I know you and I aren’t as good as friends as we should be because we are from two different worlds, I believe in Jesus and you don’t, so I would like to say a few things…

The Bible says that we are all going to die someday and that we will be judged by Jesus. The Bible also says that everyone has sinned and come short of the glory of God, but the gift of God is everlasting life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

John 3:16 says that “God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.”

Jesus, himself, even said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life no one comes to the Father but by me”.

He also said, “I am the resurrection and the Life, though you are dead, yet shall you live. And those who live and believe in me shall never die.”

Cyndy, just like I want my family to be in heaven someday, I also want you to be in heaven too. Don’t you want to be in heaven someday?

Do you believe what I’ve written to you?

Why or why not?

Will you decide to ask Jesus into your heart?

Love,

Whacky Chic 268

God’s wonderful plan of Salvation

1) For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23; There is none righteous, no not one. Psalm 14:3

2) For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

3) But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

4) If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Romans 10: 9-10

5) Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 5:17

6) For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. Ephesians 2:8

7) If you abide in My Word, then you are truly disciples of mine; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:31-32

If you would like to learn more about Jesus Christ and the plan of Salvation, get a Bible and start reading the Gospel of John in the New Testament. May Jesus open the eyes of your heart, that you may see Him in all His glory!

Jesus is saying: “Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of Salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2

Remember: If it sounds too good to be true, it’s probably the Gospel of Christ! Read John 3:16

God’s Grace to the Thief on the Cross
Luke 23:39-43 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Christ? Save yourself and us!” But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.”

The first criminal wanted only to escape the consequences of his sin without acknowledging his guilt. The second acknowledged his guilt and affirmed God’s judicial nature in the punishment of sin. But his request which showed his faith in Jesus was a plead for grace in the afterlife… and grace was granted.

Dr. Charles R. Erdman comments on this event saying:
Sacrementalism was refuted, for the thief was saved without recourse to baptism, the Lord’s Supper, church, ceremony, or good works. The dogma of purgatory was refuted, for this vile sinner was instantly transformed into a saint and made fit for paradise apart from his personal expiation of a single sin. The teaching of universalism was refuted, for only one was saved of all who might have been saved. The notion of soul-sleep was refuted, for the clear implication of the entire incident is that the redeemed thief would be in conscious fellowship with his Savior in paradise even while his body disintegrated in some grave.

It is doubtful whether any other gospel incident presents the plan of salvation more clearly or simply.

“Lastly, an observation that I will share is that many Protestants, Catholics and Baptists alike do not believe in “death-bed” repentance. I would like to share my view: “If there was no hope to be saved at the last minute of our lives, the scene at the cross which took place soon before the deaths of these men, would not be part of the canon of scripture nor would Jesus’ Words to this action be recorded and preserved. Therefore I say that though it is to the benefit of all involved to come to Christ as soon as possible for the betterment of the Kingdom, it is also of the utmost importance to come to Christ at all, even if it is that last minute of life before God recalls the breath that he has given us to use in this life. BUT, not one of us knows just when that will be.

My own father repented at the end of his life and I look forward to greeting him in glory, for I know he will have a new mind and a new outlook and a new mission. That is to serve Christ, the Lord of Lord and the King of Kings, who saved his very soul, just as he promised the thief on the cross. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.

What do I tell the Athieist? Simply this, Try Jesus.
